Insults about breath can cut deep, particularly if they are intentionally personal attacks. Regardless of what they are, though, few individuals enjoy being told they have halitosis, especially during an argument. A recent example of this principle occurred on the British television show Dancing on Ice.
The incident involved judge Jason Gardiner and audience member Tim Healy, the husband of contestant Denise Welch, who starred on the British soap opera Coronation Street.
After Gardiner gave Welch some criticism about her performance, Healy confronted the judge, according to Unreality TV. He screamed in Gardiner's face that his wife is 52 years old and has four jobs, asking the judge how many he had.
The news source reported that the judge shot back with a comment on the man's halitosis.
"Oh my God, your breath!" he said. Subsequently posted and largely unprintable tweets from the judge continued in that vein.
Whether you are arguing, having a pleasant conversation or enjoying an intimate moment, it is important to maintain consistently fresh breath. Halitosis can be distracting and give insults a toehold. To prevent this, individuals with bad breath may brush more often and rinse with a specialty breath freshening product.
