Reality-show celebrities smell all over

The latest challenge on the show I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! involved bugs, stagnant water and excrement. From the look of some of the contestants, their body odor isn’t so hot, and considering the amount and kind of food they eat, they probably have very bad breath, too.

On Day 15, contestant Dom Joly competed to find seven stars hidden in pots of rank water, a greenhouse filled with spiders and a pile of manure. After much digging and rooting, Joly found three.

A photo on Scotland’s STV website shows just how thin and dirty these celebs have become. The show is renowned, like survivor, for feeding its stars little and forcing them to camp in the elements, unwashed and smelly.

Their breath is probably pretty rank by now. Calorie restriction or starvation can cause bad breath, since ketoacidosis puts pungent ketones in the bloodstream and, from there, into the breath.

And of course you rarely see a celeb on the show actually brush their teeth.

First and foremost, bad breath prevention involves brushing teeth and flossing, which may be supplemented with specialty breath freshening products that moisten the mouth and rid it of sulfuric odor compounds.
