You think tensions run high at your job, where coworkers' halitosis can drive you all but crazy? Consider a recent news story from New Zealand, where two municipal bus drivers came to blows over bad breath.

According to Hawke's Bay Today, the duo - 46-year-old Ralph John Dickinson and his fellow driver, Gary Esau - got into a fistfight on the way to Napier. The two men had apparently ridden to work in the same van every day for the previous seven months.

Dickinson told the source the Esau repeatedly threatened him and called him names. On the day in question, the former man criticized Esau for leaving the van door open. The latter reportedly replied: "Well, if you didn't sit so close to the door I wouldn't have to smell your bad breath all the time."

The newspaper said that Dickinson then threw half a dozen punches. The New Zealand Hearlad added that both workers were later sacked.

A quick and easy way to keep workplace tensions to a minimum is to use a specialty tongue scraper or breath freshening rinse, followed by an oral care probiotic product. Done daily, such a regimen can improve breath and potentially defuse stressful situations.
