The TheraBreath™ Difference

On our mission to make a better mouthrinse, we chose science, honesty, and purpose to lead the way. We call this combination the TheraBreath™ difference—found in every rinse. We invite you and your patients to experience it.

Science

We are all about making mouthrinse less complicated, and that is why our approach to rinsing is science-based but simple.

What’s inside matters most. We know formulas only work as well as their ingredients, so ours are always of higher quality, carefully sourced, and effective. Some of the ingredients found in our microbiologist-developed rinses include sodium fluoride, sodium chlorite, cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), mentha piperita oil, and floral Jambú extract.

Honesty

Like the liquid that flows out of every bottle, we want you to have a clear vision of what our mouthrinse stands for.

When it comes to bacteria, we don’t believe in adding alcohol to “feel the burn.” Instead, we fight bad breath bacteria to support a well-balanced oral microbiome1. All our formulas are also free of sulfates, parabens, and dyes.

Purpose

When Harold Katz, DDS, needed a better mouthrinse for his daughter’s chronic bad breath, he created TheraBreath™ Fresh Breath rinse. 30 years later, our line has grown, and we now have effective and great-tasting solutions for the conditions you most often see in your office.

Recommend TheraBreath™. Our purpose is to help your patients improve their oral health.

Dr. Katz

THE DENTIST BEHIND THERABREATH™

Harold Katz, DDS, began researching the causes of oral malodor in the early 1990s to help his teenage daughter with her severe and chronic bad breath. Despite brushing and flossing several times a day and using standard mouthrinses, the problem persisted.

A UCLA-trained dentist and microbiologist, Dr. Katz rolled up his sleeves and went to work. The result was the first TheraBreath™ formula: a safe, efficacious, and clinically tested solution for bad breath.
