TV hosts discuss bad breath on The Talk
It can be difficult to think of a discreet way to tell a friend, co-worker or family member that they have bad breath. For some reason, many people in that situation have difficulty balancing honesty with tact. Based on a recently posted clip from CBS, TV personality Sharon Osborne does not appear to have this problem.
Of the five hosts of the CBS morning talk show The Talk, only Osborne admitted to having told a co-worker that they have halitosis. The other four - news anchor Julie Chen and actresses Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini - said they could not pull such a move off.
When pressed on who she'd informed of their bad breath, Osborne revealed it had been David Hasselhoff. The two previous worked together on the variety show America's Got Talent.
Halitosis can come from a number of sources, including dry mouth, dirty teeth, gum disease, aromatic foods and alcohol and tobacco use, according to the Ohio State University Medical Center.
To target smelly particles and odor-causing bacteria, individuals may consider using speciality breath freshener to rinse their mouth out. This can be done at any time and may spare friends and family some olfactory grief.
